s stands for sanchez. soto is my dads last name and sanchez is my moms.
i grew up writing ruth soto (naturally assuming i was soto). then i found out in high school i was sanchez. my two last names were just put together instead of simply dropping soto.
ive never gotten used to being sanchez so i write/sign ruth s. soto. its my own little way around claiming sanchez.

yes, i sleep with the door closed all the time. my window has an ac in it so i cant open it even if i wanted to but even when i didnt have the ac, i never ever opened the window.
